Our Aim & Objectives
GPSD aims to improve the lives of Papua New Guineans in
the following ways:
- With improved lighting, market times to be extended to 8pm in
the night enabling families to generate more income to improve
their living standards.
- Enable teachers to access the internet and provide quality
education to our children.
- Health workers can attend to mothers giving birth in the night
using lights. This leads to saving lives of mothers and children.
- Fresh meats and seafood can be stored in proper cool rooms
and freezers for consumption while surplus can be sold, thus
reducing wastage and allowing additional income to be earned.
- Reliable power promotes well equipped government offices with
extra working hours in remote districts & LLGs resulting in
increased productivity.
- Better night lighting leads to reduced crime, enabling women and
girls to walk freely at night.
