Joe Nete
Managing Director
Mr Nete is the founder of GPSD Solar Energy Ltd (PNG) and Chairman of JKL Energy Ltd (Thailand). He is a full-time businessman with over 40 years’ management experience in industries ranging from hospitality to retailing & wholesaling and logistics. Apart from overall management of GPSD, Mr. Nete is also directly responsible for Sales & Marketing Public Relations and Recruitment. He is an active member of TIPNG.
Joshua Nete
Business Development Manager
Joshua is a mine engineer by profession with 5 years’ experience working for Ok Tedi Mining Limited. He also completed his MBA degree from the University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia.
Joshua is responsible for Admin & Operational Support, Financial Planning and Strategy Development.
Peter Bui
Safety Manager
Peter is a certified Level 3 trainer with over 13 years’ experience working in various roles under the Occupational Health, Safety & Wellness (OHSW) Department of Telikom PNG Ltd. He is well versed in conducting drills in fire safety and emergency procedures and has also served as the HR Services Team Leader and the Acting Manager for OHS&W at Telikom. Peter has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of PNG.
Sontaya Bunchawee
Chief Engineer
Sontaya is a professional electrical engineer. In 1992, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Communication & Electronics Engineering from Rajamangala Institute of Technology. In 1994, he obtained his master’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Ratchthani University. He started his career as a communication engineer in charge of the maintenance of over 1,000 communication towers in Thailand and Cambodia. In 2009 when the Thai government began implementing their Sustainable Energy Policy, Sontaya was appointed by ABB Thailand, one of the largest manufacturers of inverters and solar project contractors in Thailand, to be their Project Engineer across Thailand and 8 other countries. His biggest solar project so far has been the completion of a 44MW solar farm. In 2019, Sontaya
was appointed the Chief Engineer for JKL Energy Ltd in Thailand and recently, joined GPSDL Solar Energy Ltd as our Chief Project & Service Engineer.
Benjamin Pawi
Senior Engineer
An electrical & communications engineer by profession, Benjamin also has certifications in VSAT, Control Systems and Access Control Installation. He has over 7 years’ experience working as a systems technician for electronics companies such as TE PNG and Ruswin PNG, servicing high-end clients such as BSP and Deloitte. Benjamin is in charge of solar systems installation and technical Support.
