Kandep Secondary School
The Solar System recently installed on the campus will enable more lighting at night for staff and students to move around safely on campus and will also provide electricity back-up for the school’s computer lab and server during power outages.
This is part of Australia Awards capacity development support to partner tertiary institution in PNG.

As a result of this trial project, theMember for Kandep Open, Hon: Don Pomb Polye approved the Kandep District Roll out plan on the 27th Of December 2021 and made the Press Release as shown on the Post Courier copy we sent Earlier.
Kandep MP Don Polye has launched a K15 million solar energy project which has been described as a “milestone undertaking” to light up his mostly disadvantaged district.
This is in line with APEC and PNG Government’s commitment during last
year’s (APEC) meeting in Port Moresby to light up 70 per cent of the country mainly the rural sector by 2030.
